NADEGE LACROIX
June 27, 1975 - October 01, 2000
On October 01, 2000 Nadege Lacroix was taken from us far too soon. Nadege, 25, was ambushed by a gunman who opened fire as she climbed out of a cousin's car outside her Miami Shores Condominium Complex, at 3:40 A.M. As he pumped several shots into her, the killer said nothing, witnesses told Miami-Dade County police.
The killer took no valuables and fled to a waiting car. Nadege the mother of a 3-year old son, who worked as a customer service representative for Lynx International in Fort Lauderdale, died hours later at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center . The suspect has never been caught.
Nadege was born on June 27, 1975 in Saint-Louis-du-Nord, Haiti the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Raymond Lacroix both deceased, she moved to Florida when she was 13 to joined her brother Marc Ely Lacroix also deceased.
Nadege was a remarkable mother to her only son Alan Gardy Henry. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and girlfriend. Aside from that, Nadege was so many things: a Northeast High School Graduate, she was a student at Miami Dade College with hope of becoming a Mid-Wife Nursing , she was a fitness queen, a fun-loving young woman, a T-Vice and Top-Vice fan, a lover of shoes and purses, and a beautiful light in so many lives. We could go on and on....
Nadege had an incredible future ahead of her that she held with high hope. She had so many plans, so many dreams of what could be. We couldn't wait to see what she'd do next....Those of us who knew her can still see her bright smile, listen to her contagious laughter, hear her say "Alan!" We are never without her...
This page is dedicated to keeping the memory of our Nadege alive. You will live forever in our memories and hearts. Rest in Peace angel we love you
We love you and miss you
In the beginning, we never thought we could make it another day without you much less make it ten years....it hasn't always been easy, but somehow we made it. Cuz I know your son grow from the toddler he was when you left into a handsome Little man even though we don't allow to see him. I know he's beautiful since there was so much of you in him. He won't remember you and his time with you, but I have kept your memory alive here for him, he'll know that he had a wonderful mommy who loved him so much, he'll miss you and miss what he didn't get to have with you.
Last June, you would have turned 35, it is so hard for me to imagine it, my beautiful, lovable cousin I wonder what you would be doing now, how you would look, how you would act, what you would have accomplished. Our lives would have been so different if it had not been for that horrible night, the night you were taken from us. Your son lives were changed forever by a senseless act of violence. You were robbed of your son life and so were the rest of us......
You were here for such a short time, but you touched a lot of lives and accomplished a lot while you were here. Cuz we are so thankful for the time we had you and for all the memories and for the lessons you taught us. You changed our life by being born and you changed it by leaving. You took a part of us with you, but you left a son here. You a part of us and always will be........We love you and miss you, but someday we will be together again.
